IndyStar has hired Caroline Beck as its K-12 education reporter for the Indianapolis area as a Report for America corps member. Previously, she was a political reporter at the Alabama Daily News, where she covered politics and state government.
She has also interned at Prosper Group Corp in Greenwood, Ind. and In These Times in Greater Chicago, where she fact-checked articles and prepared pieces for publication on the website or the monthly print magazine.
Beck graduated from Hanover College in Indiana.
