Grubb departs Albany ABC affiliate

Harrison Grubb is leaving WTEN. The reporter made the announcement Monday on Twitter. He’s been at the ABC affiliate for two years, reporting on everything from politics to crime to feature-type pieces.

Before coming to Albany, Harrison was a multimedia journalist at Spectrum News in central New York, primarily working in the Utica bureau, according to the News10 website.

“I’ve had the pleasure of reporting on a variety of different stories across the Capital Region,” wrote Grubb on Twitter. “From hard-hitting news to burning my taste buds off on National Hot Sauce Day.”

He went on to talk about his time in Albany, and at News10ABC. Unlike many broadcast journalists who have departed their stations in recent years and left the news business, Grubb is staying in the industry.

He’ll share where he’s headed on his social media channels in the coming weeks.
