Georgia nonprofit hires Kemp as accountability reporter

Robin Kemp

The Current, a Georgia-based investigative nonprofit news outlet, has tapped Robin Kemp to serve as an accountability reporter.

Kemp brings more than three decades of experience to the newsroom. She is founder, CEO and executive editor of Georgia nonprofit The Clayton Crescent, through which she provided independent accountability news for her neighbors.

She has worked at CNN for seven years as a news writer and field producer. She also reported for the Louisiana-based weekly newspaper Gambit.

Kemp has degrees from Georgia State University and the University of New Orleans.
