Burr named Washington producer of “News Nation”

Thomas Burr has been appointed Washington producer of “News Nation,” a new nightly newscast airing on WGN America, reports Politico.

Burr joins from the Salt Lake Tribune where he worked for more than 18 years, starting as a reporter.

He also held the post of Washington bureau chief at the Tribune. Burr was also president of The National Press Club and is the former chairman of its board of governors in 2013.

Burr is a graduate of Southern Utah University.
