BBC journalist Thierij goes freelance

Sira Thierij

Sira Thierij, Europe producer and video journalist at BBC News, wrote on Twitter:

“Excited to share some personal news: After three fantastic years with the BBC I recently moved to Dakar, Senegal to start a freelance career. I’ve been dreaming about this for a while and feel really proud to make it happen!”

Previously, she served as an Africa producer. She has also worked as a reporter and video journalist at Deutsche Wells.

Thierij graduated from the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
