Ahmed Maher, Jerusalem correspondent at Al Jazeera, has left and joined Saudi Research and Media Group as a senior political editor.
Maher has more than 20 years of journalism experience reporting from 20 countries in the Middle East, the Gulf, North Africa and Europe.
Previously, he served as a senior foreign correspondent and Arab affairs editor at The National News.
He has also worked at BBC News as a multi-platform journalist, Arabic diplomatic correspondent, Iraq correspondent and senior broadcast journalist.
He worked as a Mideast reporter at BBC Worldwide.
Maher graduated from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
