Wide Open Eat is looking for writers to to recap Top Chef every week. There is a preference for those living in Texas.

Wide Open Eats is a place celebrating honest home cooks that make the most of what they have, featuring food of every kind and regional style. Our domain ranges from the kitchen to a backwoods campfire. Featuring all things food & drink, from quick snacks to full meals, from grandma’s recipes to your local rib shack, we’ve got you covered.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN SUBMISSION

  • You should submit a cover letter explaining why you are qualified for the job/gig
  • Write a one-paragraph summary of your relevant experience, credentials and publication credits
  • Include your strongest clips or links to published work
  • Attach a resume detailing your writing experience.

COMPENSATION

  • $175 per article with a contract through the season.
