Responsibilities:
Generate up stories for real time news, write a weekly research column, and facilitate collection of data.
The Impact:
LCD averages around 60 stories daily that reach over 35,000 subscribers. The effort will expand on coverage of a part of credit markets attracting interest from investors and participants. This is a highly visible role that plays a significant part of keeping up a broad client base appraised of market events, and also increasing LCD’s profile in the global credit markets generally. Continuity and market breadth is essential to customers who use LCD to make business decisions in leveraged finance and gauge competition and trends.
The Career Opportunity:
This position offers the opportunity to broaden market knowledge through crossover coverage of various market segments. Opportunity to collaborate outside of LCD with other groups under the S&P Global Market Intelligence umbrella. Individuals will develop market expertise to become a go-to source on this subject. Eventually, the individual will represent LCD at conferences.

Your Skills:
Three to five years’ experience as a journalist, particularly in the financial markets. A track record in developing effective deep source network in banking. Understanding of how leverage finance and M&A transactions work.
Qualifications:
Experience in business journalism required, preference given to candidate with experience writing a credit market beat, particularly one with contacts in middle market private equity and banking.
