MLex seeks trade reporter in DC

International regulatory news service MLex Market Insight is seeking a full-time trade reporter to begin in its Washington, D.C. bureau this fall.

The successful candidate will have one to two years reporting experience covering trade issues. He/she will also assist with research, which includes maintaining databases, storing documents in these databases and writing document summaries.

MLex, founded in 2005, provides exclusive online news and analysis for legal, investment and government professionals in the fields of antitrust, financial regulation, trade, patent law and technology regulation.

The company, www.mlexmarketinsight.com, is a Brussels-based media organization with coverage that spans the world’s foremost regulators in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
