The Elkhart Truth, a progressive, family-owned news company in Elkhart, Ind., needs a business reporter who can cover the recreational vehicle industry as well as explain why someone is paying more for cable television.

Elkhart County suffered during the Great Recession but is among the nation’s leaders in job growth and GDP growth.  We’re looking for someone with strong reporting skills and a passion for community journalism who can find and tell the stories of that recovery. But equally important, we need a reporter who’s skilled at using digital tools and social media to add depth to our content — online and in print.

Truth Publishing Co. has a mission to inform, educate and serve the community through local news and product innovation. Our core products include, The Elkhart Truth daily newspaper, and a growing number of digital publications.

Elkhart is located between Chicago, Indianapolis and Detroit, and is home to a rejuvenated downtown, a budding arts scene, craft breweries and the second-largest county fair. We’re also within an hour’s drive of the beaches of Lake Michigan, multiple wineries, Warren Dunes State Park, tons of recreational activities and a football team named the Fighting Irish.

The Elkhart Truth offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Background and driving record check required. Send resume, links and cover letter with salary expectations to:
