iDigitalTimes is a New York-based news website dedicated to covering everything digital. It brings readers the latest trends in gadgets, software, gaming, social media, online privacy and more.
iDigitalTimes is seeking SEO-minded writers for a position on its night and weekend shift. Your job will be to act as a “catch-all” for trending stories not covered during normal business hours and to monitor the web for breaking stories.
Our ideal candidate is someone who understands SEO strategy but has ambitions to do actual reporting and write pieces with strong voice and personality. While driving traffic is an important metric for our business model (and generous bonus structure) we want writers who know what they’re talking about not writers who solely chase traffic.
We cover gaming, gadgets and culture. Our motto is “geeky news from newsy geeks.” You’ll need to be able to demonstrate expertise in one (ideally two) of these three areas to be considered for a position.
A journalism, English or liberal arts degree is preferred but not required. Above all we want people who are passionate about games, gadgets or culture and know how to speak to others who share that passion.
Interested applicants should submit a resume, cover letter and writing samples to idigitaltimesjobs@gmail.com
