FT publication seeks reporter

Financial Advisor IQFinancial Advisor IQFinancial Advisor IQ – the Financial Times’s daily online news service for U.S. wealth managers – is looking for an entry-level reporter to join our growing team.

Focusing on the broker-dealer community, FA-IQ’s newest reporter will find themselves covering big names like Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo in an exciting and competitive industry that’s changing fast. This is a great opportunity to join a publication that is growing rapidly and develop your career as you contribute to its success.

A background in financial journalism would be great, but most important is a proven ability to break news, develop sources and become an expert on your beat. Experience reporting under pressure – to strict deadlines for a daily publication – is also a significant plus. We expect this reporter to be or become well-versed in creating different types of content, including graphics, videos etc.

Primary responsibilities

  • Source, pitch and write original articles that break news and matter to the reader
  • Regularly contribute to videos, webcasts and other content as necessary
  • Occasionally moderate panels at events run by the Financial Times
  • Some limited travel is required for industry conference attendance.

Please email your CV and a cover letter explaining why you’d be a good fit for the position to hr@money-media.com. Put “Reporter, Financial Advisor IQ” in the subject line.
