Daily Hampshire Gazette seeks a news reporter

The Daily Hampshire Gazette is seeking a full-time news reporter to be part of a hardworking team focused on covering the news of Hampshire County.

News reporters share in producing breaking news, community coverage, business, enterprise, investigative, and news feature stories. We all work some evenings, weekends and holidays. Experience with photography and video is a plus, as is experience mining a news beat and covering local government. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to produce compelling stories that matter to readers.

The Gazette is one of the nation’s oldest local news operations. Founded in 1786, it has been named New England Newspaper of the Year in its circulation class for print and web three times in the past decade.

Interested? Send a resume, cover letter, salary expectations and five of your best stories to Managing Editor Chad Cain: ccain@gazettenet.com. No phone calls, please.

The Gazette is owned by Newspapers of New England, a family-owned company with a commitment to serious community journalism.

We offer competitive pay, paid vacation and personal days and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance and a 401K.  We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in the workplace.
