Bloomberg seeks renewable energy reporter

Bloomberg News seeks a reporter based in New York or San Francisco, to cover the renewable energy industry.

Responsibilities include writing about financing for wind, solar, biofuels and other energy, and policy developments across the region. The person would both file short daily stories for the Bloomberg New Energy Finance newsletter and develop more lengthy pieces for the Bloomberg Professional service and occasionally Businessweek.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of VC/PE and early-stage funding for clean energy companies and have the ability to shape coverage, delivering exclusive news about the industry.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience
-Minimum two years in journalism
-Understanding of financial markets or renewables
-Ability to become deeply sourced within VC/PE, governments, banks and companies working in clean energy
-Ability to write quickly and concisely under deadline pressure
