The reporter will cover how climate trends are changing the lives and occupations of Mainers, and examine a myriad of issues relating to energy, water, waste, wildlife, forests and pollution.
The reporter’s stories will often center on human experiences and be accountability focused. While they will point out challenges, they will also highlight solutions. The reporter will be able to parse technical, complicated policies for a broad audience.
The reporter will join a team of experienced reporters who collaborate to help each other grow. The team produces short- and long-term stories of impact.
The right candidate will be self-driven, a critical thinker and have experience landing important scoops. The reporter will be adept at managing and growing a network of sources. Most of all, the reporter will be fair, accurate and persistent in their approach.
The reporter will join a statewide news organization in its fourth generation of local ownership.
