Absolute Return seeks hedge fund reporter

Absolute Return has an opening on its news desk for a full-time reporter covering the U.S. hedge fund industry.

The position, based in Union Square, Manhattan, requires the ability to develop sources, a passion for producing daily breaking exclusive news, and an investigative drive. This is a pure, original reporting role, with no rewriting of press releases, aggregation or repeating the days’ headlines.

Reporting experience is required, as is the ability to be tenacious in the face of resistance. The position offers the opportunity for rapid advancement for the right candidate.

Absolute Return is the Americas-focused publication of HedgeFund Intelligence, the leading global provider of hedge fund news, data and research. HFI’s publications include Absolute Return, AsiaHedge, EuroHedge and InvestHedge. It is a part of Euromoney Institutional Investor.

For some insight into the reporting process and philosophy of Absolute Return, please see this interview.

Please send a short cover letter in the body of your email along with an attached resume to jfriedlander@absolutereturn.net.
