Adrian Vore of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes about how content from the Los Angeles Times is now appearing in the San Diego Union-Tribune now that the papers are owned by the same company.
Vore writes, “‘I like having the option,’ Business Editor Diana McCabe said. ‘It’s another resource.’
“On Tuesday, for example, I read a piece by L.A. Times writer Daina Beth Solomon from top to bottom in the U-T Business section on Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos reacting to a New York Times story on an overly demanding work culture at Amazon. The L.A. Times story was supplemented with a letter Bezos wrote to his employees. The letter moved over The New York Times wire service.
“The Business section also is now running on Sundays a highly readable L.A. Times feature called ‘Hot Property: Celebrity & Luxury Homes’ and is publishing a consumer column by Times writer David Lazarus.
“McCabe also pointed out the Times ‘provides state and regional coverage we don’t get from Bloomberg or AP.'”
