Amy Cosper, the editor in chief of Entrepreneur magazine, has left the publication after more than eight years.

She was also a vice president of Entrepreneur Media, its parent company. Cosper had been in charge of the publication since July 1, 2008, overseeing content and partnerships for the magazine and online properties, including Entrepreneur.com, and WomenEntrepreneur.com.

Cosper’s journalism roots began in the tech world, where she worked as a reporter in Israel, Norway, Brazil, Luxembourg, Paris and London covering broadband, broadcasting and satellites.

Eventually she became publisher/editor-in-chief for Satellite Broadband magazine at WiesnerMedia, and later she redesigned and directed five award-winning financial magazines. Previously, she served as WiesnerMedia’s entrepreneur in residence, where she sought out and evaluated new business plans, ventures and partnerships to assist in diversifying the company’s portfolio.

She also held various managing editorial roles with Intertec Publishing and Argus Integrated Media.

Cosper has undergraduate and master’s degrees from the University of Colorado.
