- As the BBC’s technology columnist, you write the Keeping Tabs column, a weekly dive into the hidden systems that run our world, and how you can live better inside them.What’s driving your coverage for the column?
- I’m extremely selective about coverage. I’m not taking a ton of meetings. People often think: “I have a really cool company” is an idea for a story. It’s not, at least not for me. I’m not a business reporter.
- A lot of stories come from my daily life. I see Instagram adding a new button, and I go figure out what it says about how Meta wants to influence our behavior. I get tired of hearing AI companies say they’re going to destroy the world, so I call experts to explain why they’re trying to scare you.
- My best stories come from regular people telling me about their experiences and the questions they have. If you’ve got a story, I want to hear it. My email is easy to find.
