The San Francisco Chronicle has promoted Harry Mok to the post of assistant opinion editor. Previously, he held the post of copy editor.
He has also taught at San Francisco State University and was a publications editor at the Center for Asian American Media in San Francisco, California. He has also worked as an editor, writer and social media manager at the University of Chicago.
Mok has also served as editor-in-chief of Hyphen, an independent Asian-American news and culture publication. He has also interned at the Associated Press and his work has been published in USA Today, Salon.com, Newsday and others.
Mok has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from San Jose State University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley.
