BBC News names Holt social affairs editor

BBC News has tapped Alison Holt as a social affairs editor.

Holt has been with the BBC for over 24 years, previously also serving as a social affairs/UK affairs correspondent. She has also worked as a news correspondent.

Holt graduated from the University of Sussex.
