Yahoo Finance has hired Sam Ro from Business Insider to be its managing editor.
In this new role, he will work with editor in chief Andy Serwer to oversee and direct the site’s editorial content.

He previously served as an equity analyst for the Forbes Special Situation Survey and Forbes Growth Investor equity newsletters, while his work has been published in Forbes, DealBreaker, and The Fiscal Times.
Sam has also held positions at James F. Reda & Associates, Brown Brothers Harriman, and Paul Weiss. He has a bachelor’s degree in religion from Boston University, and is a CFA charterholder.
Ro is the latest in a recent string of new hires by Yahoo Finance as the site continues to expand its editorial team, including sports and tech writer Daniel Roberts, markets correspondent Nicole Sinclair, and anchor and reporter Alexis Christoforous.
His first day in the New York office will be Feb. 29.
