A Wall Street Journal reporter has left the paper to become a senior writer for BusinessWeek magazine, according to a memo.
The memo, from assistant managing editor Rob Hunter and editor Stephen Adler, stated, “We are delighted to announce that Chad Terhune has joined BusinessWeek as a Senior Writer based in our Atlanta bureau. Chad comes from the Wall Street Journal, where he spent 11 years covering a variety of beats ranging from Coke and Pepsi to medical issues.
“He wrote memorable Page One stories on the 2000 Florida recount (an interesting time to be named Chad), the anthrax attacks, Hurricane Katrina, the Richard Scrushy investigation, and abuses in the health insurance industry, for which he won a National Press Club award in 2003. A University of Florida grad, Chad admits he has an unhealthy appetite for Gators football. He also enjoys diving for scallops in the Gulf of Mexico and shucking raw oysters in Apalachicola. Chad lives in the Atlanta suburbs with his wife, BJ, and two young daughters. He will report to Rob Hunter and work with our investigative folks.
