Dennis K. Berman, The Wall Street Journal’s chief mergers & acquisitions reporter, will co-host the Journal’s first Deals & Deal Makers Conference to be held on June 27 at The New York Stock Exchange.
The conference will take an in-depth look at the world of deal making with some of Wall Street’s leading powerbrokers and discuss various topics such as new strategies in the deal world, economics and private equity. Berman will co-host the conference with Alan Murray, columnist and recently appointed editor of the Journal’s online properties.
Berman, who is responsible for mergers & acquisitions coverage in the paper, also writes “The Game,” a bi-weekly column that covers the M&A world. He also helped start “Deal Journal,” an up-to-the-minute blog on deals and deal-makers, available for free at http://blogs.wsj.com/deals. He appears frequently on CNBC, and serves as a guest host on the network’s “Squawk Box” program.
“Our goal is to uncover the latest trends in deal making on the street and provide our audience with valuable intelligence and insight,” said Berman. “Attendees will have unprecedented access to witness the Journal’s ability to get deal makers to publicly discuss their business strategies.”
