Klint Finley, who covered technology and policy issues for lay audiences at Wired, has been laid off. He tweets:
“Wired laid me off and I’ve begun my battle with Oregon’s presumably COBOL-based unemployment insurance system. I’m ok. Really. It hurts, but I’ve been anticipating and preparing for this both emotionally and financially for the past couple years.”
Apart from Wired, Finley has also written for other publications, including TechCrunch and Read Write Web. He has also served as an editor/senior writer at Silicon Angle and as a lead organizer at Esozone.
In addition, he has also held numerous IT positions, including working as a support specialist at LightSPEED Technology and as a computer technician at MTPC. He was also the marketing coordinator at South Sheridan Medical Center.
Finley is a B.A. in communications from Evergreen State College.
