Mike Benbow, editor of the Everett Herald in Washington, said in his Monday column that the paper will be cutting its stock listings, and the paper wants advice from readers on how to make the changes.
Benbow wrote, “We’ve been working on our stock pages with two goals. One is to use less newsprint, which you can view as saving a few more trees.
“The other is to improve our stock pages by using more graphics and visual information while cutting back on the tedious gray lists of stocks.
“At the same time, we’ll be adding some really cool things to HeraldNet.com that will allow you to get close to real-time quotes, build your own stock portfolio and check on news releases involving the companies you care about.
“There will be more on that later, but if you’ve got any thoughts right now about what you like and don’t like about our stock pages, let me know.”
