Jim Pavia, a senior editor at CNBC, is leaving to become managing director of communications at MarketCounsel Consulting.
At CNBC digital, her oversaw two key pillars, the Financial Advisors Hub and personal finance. Pavia, an award-winning journalist, was formerly the editor/editorial director of InvestmentNews where he worked for 10 years.
In 2014, he was the recipient of the Malcolm S. Forbes Public Awareness Award for Excellence in Advancing Financial Understanding Among the Public. He has won several awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, including five for Editorial Excellence in Editorial writing.
Pavia has also worked at the New York Daily News and The National Sports Daily. He got his start as a sports reporter at the Staten Island Advance in 1982.
