Alex Koma, a reporter covering economic development, housing, transportation, politics and more for the Washington Business Journal, will be leaving at the end of the year to join Washington City Paper.
Previously, he was managing editor at Local News Now in Arlington, Virginia, and was a multimedia reporter at Rappahannock Media/InsideNoVa in Washington. He has also reported for Scoop News Group and was a producer at NBC29 WVIR-TV in Charlottesville.
He has also worked at the Bleacher Report and USA Today and has interned at Patch.com.
Koma graduated from Virginia Tech.
