Andrew Grossman

M. Scott Havens, chief growth officer and global head of consumer at Dow Jones, sent out the following announcement:

Team,

I’m excited to announce that Andrew Grossman has joined us this week as SVP, Consumer Ventures. This is a newly created role reporting to me and will be based in our New York office.

This is a homecoming of sorts for Andrew. He started his career as an intern in the Journal’s Detroit bureau and spent six years as a reporter in New York and Washington. He went on to lead corporate strategy at Bloomberg Media during a period of significant revenue growth, and most recently led growth strategy at the New York Mets. He’s also spent time at Bain & Co and PayPal.

Andrew will focus on identifying and building new consumer growth opportunities—from video expansion to our contributor strategy to potential new verticals. He’ll work closely with leaders across both our Consumer team and the broader Dow Jones organization to accelerate the pipeline from idea to execution, complementing the work already underway across the organization.

Andrew plans to spend his first few weeks meeting with teams across Dow Jones to learn the business. Please join me in welcoming him.

Scott
