Yahoo Finance has hired Han-Ting Wang as an executive content supervisor.
Wang, who previously worked at CNBC for 12 years, started on Monday.
At CNBC, Wang oversaw original digital and social video productions for CNBC.com and partners.
He also ran “Closing Bell with Maria Bartiromo” on CNBC TV.
“I’m thrilled Ting Wang is joining Yahoo Finance,” said Andy Serwer, editor in chief of Yahoo Finance. “As we begin to expand our video programming to eight full hours of live bell-to-bell coverage, having a world-class team in place will be critical to our success. We’re making big investments in top talent, and Ting is a perfect example of how we’re doing that.”
Starting in August, Yahoo Finance will begin increasing its live programming and by the end of 2018 it will have live programming from the opening bell to the closing bell.
This will include its three daily live shows — “Market Movers,” “Midday Movers” and “The Final Round” — as well as other content it’s been testing, such as “Morning Meeting.”
Yahoo Finance has seen great success in videos more than 400,000 people watch its current live business day programming. That number is up 58 percent in the past year.
