Andrew Clark, who has covered U.S. business stories from New York for the Guardian and Observer newspapers in London for the past four years, has been named business editor of the Observer, the Sunday paper.
He replaces Ruth Sunderland, who is taking a job at the Daily Mail.
Jason Deans of the Guardian writes, “Clark will take up his new role on 12 October, after four years covering US business from New York. He joined the Guardian in 2000 as a business reporter and later became transport correspondent before his move to the US.
“He had previously worked at the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Business and Euromoney Publications.
“Sunderland is a former business editor of the Mail on Sunday and has also worked for the Daily Express, Investors Chronicle and Which? magazine.”
