Each day, editors will select the top business, markets and global news stories and deliver the briefing from the FT newsroom.
Listeners will be able to ask their voice assistants and smart speakers to play the briefing by 5 a.m. London time on Monday through Friday.
“Through data and research, we know that our consumers, who are generally time-poor, are looking for easy ways to access FT content via smart speakers and audio platforms,” said Alastair Mackie, head of audio for commercial, in a statement. “FT News Briefing allows us to both engage with existing subscribers and those who are new to our journalism.”
