Bloomberg News legal reporter Christie Smythe has joined The Insurance Insider as an associate editor.
Smythe had been a reporter at Bloomberg since 2012, based in the Brooklyn federal court, and she covered legal and regulatory issues involving companies and business people.
She also covered actions by state attorneys general and the Department of Justice and broke the story of the arrest of “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli in what became the most-read piece at Bloomberg, across all platforms, for 2015.
She was a Knight-Bagehot fellow at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2016-17.
Smythe previously worked at Law360.com as an assistant managing editor and reporter.
