Chris Tisch, the assistant metro editor for nights at the Tampa Bay Times, has been named its new business editor.
A story on its website states, “He succeeds Graham Brink, who was recently named metro editor.
“‘Chris is an accomplished editor with great news sense. He is a terrific choice to lead the best group of business journalists in Florida,’ Times managing editor Jennifer Orsi said.
“Tisch came to the Times in 2000 after five years as a reporter at the Bradenton Herald and an internship in business at the Cincinnati Enquirer. He spent four years as a police reporter in the Times’ Clearwater bureau before moving to the Pinellas courts beat. Aside from covering many high-profile trials and legal issues, he co-authored a look at rising deaths from prescription drugs, which led to reform in Florida.”
