Each Business Journalist of the Year recipient stands out in the world of business journalism and covers groundbreaking developments in the business field.
Nominations for the Business Journalist of the Year can be submitted through Twitter.
Roush said: “I look for someone who has made an impact in business journalism, whether it is through outstanding reporting or through management of a business news operation in a way that is unique. I think it’s going to be hard to decide this year because there are so many good stories.”
The selection of the award recipient is based on a subjective review by Talking Biz News. Nominations are collected either through Twitter submissions or by polling people that work at business news media organizations. The 2016 winner was Associated Press business editor Lisa Gibbs.
The website was formed in 2005 and is known for providing exclusive content about the world of business journalism, while fostering discussions about the field.
