Talking Biz News goes to SABEW

The Talking Biz News blog will be reporting live from the 44th annual conference of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers for the next three days. The conference is being held in Orange County, Calif.

Here are some of the sessions I’ll be covering:

On Sunday, look for what was discussed in the Fifth Annual Gary Klott Ethics Symposium. Some of today’s toughest ethical questions will be posed to a panel of experts and audience members, who will vote electronically using instant polling devices.

On Monday, I’ll be attending sessions such as “Allan Sloan’s Trade Secrets,” “Interview like an FBI agent” and “Front Print to Flat Screen: How Reporters can do TV, Radio and Web video like a pro.”

ON Tuesday, Paul Steiger, retiring managing editor of The Wall Street Journal, will be honored. There’s also a session called “Where we Fit In. The view from the Boardroom to the Newsroom.”

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E.
