Patricia Miller, the editor of the St. Louis Business Journal, has been promoted to publisher of the American City Business Journals newspaper.
A story on its website states, “Miller has been editor of the St. Louis Business Journal since 1996. A third-generation journalist, she joined the paper in 1986 as a list researcher, became a reporter and was promoted to associate editor. She is a 1985 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism.
“Miller succeeds Ellen Sherberg, who will help further develop Mentoring Monday and Bizwomen, as well as other American City Business Journals initiatives.
“‘When Trish applied for a job at the St. Louis Business Journal just out of college, she said she would do anything, even mop floors,’ Sherberg said. ‘We made her do lists. From then on she has added energy and intelligence to our organization. Now she’ll lead St. Louis to a new level of media excellence. And, as publisher, still get to mop things up.’
“‘I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to building on the success that we have had at the St. Louis Business Journal,’ Miller said.”
