Alex Silverman, a reporter for Sports Business Daily, has joined CableFax as a community editor and reporter in New York.
He started Tuesday.
Silverman will be covering the cable TV industry, as well as direct-to-consumer video and other forms of new media, for an audience comprised mainly of C-level executives in the media space.
In his new role, Silverman will be more focused on original reporting and projects in addition to daily news items. He is also responsible for programming Q&As, features, guest columns and conference panels.
Silverman had been at Sports Business Daily, an American City Business Journals publication, since September 2013. He is a University of Missouri graduate.
