TV Newser is reporting that Glen Rochkind, the vice president of business news at cable business news network CNBC, is apparently heading for the door. Rochkind had been in his position since May 2005.
TV Newser wrote, “According to a tipster, ‘a shakeup in the upper managerial ranks of CNBC Business News could occur as early as today.’ Rochkind’s relations with CNBC president Mark Hoffman have soured in recent months, the tipster says. ‘Hoffman and Rochkind had a big shouting match when Jonathan Wald was bumped up to senior VP back in June. Rochkind had been promised the slot by Hoffman when he returned to CNBC last year.’

Rochkind had left CNBC in 2004 to become executive producer of BusinessWeek MoneyTalks. But he returned to CNBC a year later. He has more than 20 years of experience in television production, including serving as executive producer and deputy managing editor at CNBC. During his nearly 15 year career at CNBC, Rochkind also served as London bureau chief, Washington bureau chief and as a senior assignment manager. Previously, he served as a producer for NBC and for USA Today on TV.
