Jack Robinson, formerly managing editor of The Fresno Bee, has been named editor of the Sacramento Business Journal following a nationwide search by the weekly business newspaper.
Melanie Turner of the Journal writes, “A veteran journalist with 25 years experience, Robinson joined the paper Thursday.
“Robinson’s experience includes nine years as an editor in various capacities, including a stint as an assistant business editor for The Los Angeles Times. He managed reporters with beats ranging from technology and health care to biotech and legal affairs.
“Before that, Robinson spent 11 years at The Press-Enterprise of Riverside, including nine as a reporter and two as an editor. He served as the Sunday editor for the Corona-Norco edition and launched a San Bernardino County edition as first editor.
“He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
