Reuters is restructuring the team that produces its Chinese-language news site, reports Alex Weprin of Politico.
Weprin writes, “Reuters said in a statement that it will not be shuttering cn.reuters.com, its Chinese language homepage. It isn’t clear how many staff were affected by the restructuring.
“‘As part of best serving our customers needs in China we are restructuring our Chinese language website team,’ the statement from a Reuters spokesperson said. ‘We remain totally committed to reporting on stories from the country, including on cn.reuters.com.’
“Wang Feng, the editor in chief of The Financial Times’ Chinese website, first reported the restructuring on Twitter.”
