John Robinson, the editor of the News & Record newspaper in Greensboro, N.C., is posting details on his blog about how the newspaper fired a reporter for stealing information that was published on the online site of the Triad Business Journal, which is also based in Greensboro.
Robinson writes, “We investigated, determined that much of the item, while factually correct, has been copied from The Business Journal. We published a story story about the incident on the front page of the Rockingham section, which is where the original story ran, apologizing to the Journal and our readers. The employee involved is no longer with the paper. We’ve found no evidence this has occurred perviously.”
