The revamped Wall Street Journal website will officially launch on Monday, and the newspaper is offering a peek here.
Managing editor Gerard Baker writes, “Guided by subscriber feedback, we’ve endeavored to create an immersive digital experience that elevates the way we deliver the news. We have applied this thinking to our recent app releases, and the new WSJ.com is the culmination of those efforts.
“The new site is much more visual in nature, showcasing our multimedia reporting and market data, while improving site performance in the process. Most important, the overall news experience is streamlined and consistent across every device, wherever you may be.”
Here’s some more content about the preview:
The main goals of the WSJ.com redesign were to improve site performance, to create a visually dynamic reading experience, to diversify our storytelling tools and, most important, to create a website that works seamlessly across different devices and screen sizes. With the new WSJ.com, you will get a fully responsive website that does not compromise content as your screen gets smaller. In addition, we have overhauled the markets-data experience and enhanced personalized features such as watchlist and article saving.
