Tim Bradbury has been named president of the newly created new media division of American City Business Journals, the Charlotte-based parent company of 42 weekly business newspapers across the country.
In this role, he will oversee all things digital while continuing to lead bizjournals.com.
In an e-mail, Bradbury said that the company is trying to “provide digital leadership across all our brands — Hemmings, Scene & Nascar Illustrated, Sporting News, Mass High Tech, Sports Business Journal and Sports Business Daily.Â
“Across our titles we’re reaching more that 7 million users per month. There are systems, expertise, partners and opportunities that can be leveraged across the brands.”
Bradbury added, “We’ve established a small dedicated team to incubate new digital businesses and evaluate additional strategic investment opportunities, like our Generate Inc. investment.”
Bradbury has been an executive vice president at the company. He joined ACBJ eight years ago and was put in charge of building its Web presence. In that role, he’s built it into the fastest-growing division of the company.Â
Bizjournals operates the Web sites for each of the company’s 42 print business journals and recently launched its first Web-only local business news and information site for Los Angeles. The company plans to launch Web-only operations in additional markets.
