Ellen G. Lahr has been named business editor of The Berkshire Eagle in western Massachusetts, according to a short story in Sunday’s paper.
The story stated, “An Eagle reporter since 1985, Lahr has covered a range of news beats in Pittsfield and South Berkshire County, and has won awards from the New England Associated Press News Executives Association.
“She has been the newspaper’s South County bureau chief since 2001, covering town government and politics, business developments, feature news, education and tourism.
“Her most recent in-depth project was a three-day series on breast cancer, which appeared in September.
“As business editor, Lahr replaces Scott Stafford, who moves to North Adams to become The Eagle’s North County Bureau Chief.”
