Sari Lesk started Monday as the Milwaukee Business Journal’s new retail, restaurant and banking reporter.
Editor Mark Kass reports, “To help introduce her to our readers, I asked Sari a few questions about her background, interest in business and her hobbies away from the office.
“Q: Can you tell us about your journalism background? ‘I reported for the Stevens Point Journal for more than three years, focusing coverage on local government and education. Last year, I relocated to southeastern Wisconsin to cover city of Racine government and higher education for The Journal Times. I have a degree in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a minor in sociology. Other experience includes internships in digital media, public radio and magazine editing.”
“Q: What generated your interest in working for the Milwaukee Business Journal? ‘Business is an area I have not covered extensively since entering the field. I look forward to the opportunity to learn a new beat and bring stories of interest to people who depend on the Milwaukee Business Journal for information.'”
