The Miami Herald plans to cut its standalone business section and put business news in the back of its metro section, according to an announcement in the Sunday paper from business editor Jane Wooldridge.
Wooldridge writes, “Beginning Oct. 30, the Money section will appear on Saturday rather than Sunday. The new section will include current Money section favorites — including stories about personal finance and financial planning — along with three pages of stock listings, articles about the economy and consumer spending and news of the day.
“The shift to Saturday is part of a series of changes to our business coverage. Beginning this week, local business coverage will appear on dedicated Business pages at the back of Metro & Local section on Tuesday to Friday.
“In the weeks to come, we’ll also be adding new blogs that follow trends and news about two industries most critical to South Florida: residential real estate and tourism.
