Tony Dobrowolski, a reporter at the paper for the past 16 years, has been named the new business editor of the Berkshire Eagle in Massachusetts, according to a short story on the paper’s Web site.
The story stated, “Dobrowolski, 54, replaces Ellen Lahr, who left The Eagle to become director of communications at Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.
“Dobrowolski has covered the city of Pittsfield for The Eagle since May 2005. He joined the newspaper as a sportswriter in 1992, and also has served as a night reporter, courts and police reporter, Pittsfield schools reporter, and the Dalton town reporter.
“Executive Editor Tim Farkas said Dobrowolski will be responsible for The Eagle’s overall business coverage, in print and on the Web at www.berkshireeagle.com.”
