She starts on Monday.
Deppen has been a Dow Jones News Fund intern working at tech news site Geekwire. She also interned at the Charlotte Observer and the Courier-Journal in Louisville.
She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper, the College Heights Herald.
