Insider has hired Vishal Persaud as an editor overseeing startups and venture capital coverage.
His first day is Monday.
“I’m really thrilled to be working with all of the talented reporters and editors there,” he wrote on Twitter.
Persaud has been editor of venture capital and technology at Pitchbook Data for the past year. From December 2015 to April 2020, he worked at Bloomberg News as a breaking news editor.
He also worked at Dataminr as a domain expert.
Persuad holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in journalism from CUNY.
